"Liam" was a buck kid we reserved after our first National Show experience in 2018, where we saw a number of his relatives in the Jen-Mae-Ka herd in person, including his dam Chevron. We wanted to add that beautiful dairy strength and ability to milk that the entire Jen-Mae-Ka herd exemplifies, and this breeding was an amazing opportunity to do so, and we were so excited when Chevron filled our reservation!

While Liam is a gangly and awkward yearling, his first crop of kids absolutely did not disappoint. They are all long bodied kids with a great balance of strength of bone and openness and angularity. His first daughter will freshen in 2022.

We could not pass up the opportunity when Kelley offered Matterhorn to us. He brings absolute powerhouse genetics from the Here Be Goats herd in Florida and Kastdemur's in California, with LA scores and milk test data on every doe in his immediate pedigree. Matt's dam, paternal granddam, and maternal granddam all earned EX91 LA scores, and their DHI records exhibit the type of consistent lactations we value.

He covered three late does here this year, and will be used heavily in '22.

When Ace was born, we both agreed that regardless of whether or not he stuck around long term, he needed to see some use in the fall. Between his dam Diamond's success as a 4 year old, and losing his sire and both maternal grandparents this year, he's seen a lot more use than expected, and is going to be sticking around for a while.

He has grown into a very impressive buck with tremendous bone, a beautiful topline, and exceptional feet and legs, combining many of the things we love from both sides of his pedigree. The does he was bred to should be some very exciting pairings!

Taylor joined the herd at the end of 2015 after working extensively in the Celtic-Knot and Joyful Morn herds in Ohio. His exceptional feet and legs were a big factor in bringing him in, and he has not disappointed with his ability to pass them on to his daughters and granddaughters. His daughters who have freshened also have consistently improved foreudders and area of attachment over their dams.

We often call Taylor our "show buck," as he has not only done well in the show ring, but also enjoys traveling and watching the going's on from his pen. A very mild mannered buck overall, he's a pleasure to handle in and out of the show ring, and many of his daughters have that same laid back attitude.

Taylor doesn't see much use anymore, only breeding one doe for 2021 kids.

At our first buck show of the year in '21, Taylor finally earned two more official wins, finishing that elusive CH at 8 years old!

Taylor was appraised again at 9 years and 8 months old, and earned an improvement to his permanent score of 89 VEE! We unfortunately lost him a few weeks later, but will continue to enjoy his legacy in the herd for years to come.

When Tammy offered Neptune to us, it was hard to pass up the opportunity to bring in a son of our favorite doe in the Autumn Acres herd, and the 2016 Reserve National Champion, Nadia. Although still just a kid, Neptune is a big powerful buck with tons of length and strength of bone, and an incredible front end.

Neptune's first crop of kids impressed across the board, helping make the '21 kid crop our best yet. He was used heavily again in the fall, covering about half of the does for the season, before heading south to Fry Farm to start his new adventure.
