Mini is the oldest doe still working in the herd, and has consistently passed on her correct general appearance in her kids. The smallest doe in the herd, Mini provided a great foundation for the miniature lamancha herd (now discontinued). With the addition of some taller bucks, we hope to add some size and scale without losing her solid and balanced structure.

After a difficult late pregnancy, Mini graced us with a stunning pair of does sired by Matterhorn. After 9 freshenings, not missing a year, she has been officially retired, and now enjoys the freedom of roaming the farm.

"Princess" has been the star of the show since her first freshening at two years old. She is an exceptionally dairy doe, sharp and open throughout with incredibly depth of body. One of the heaviest milkers in the herd, she earned her milk star at a one day milk test as a 2 year old first freshener, and has excelled on year round milk test, earning a spot on the Elite doe list in the fall of 2019 along with her Superior Genetics designation. She has maintained her place on the Elite list through the fall of 2021.
​
In the show ring, her 2 year old show career was cut short by an illness, but as a 3 year old she went out 5 times, going 5 x 1st, 1 x RGCh, and 1 x GCh and BOB, earning her first leg. In July 2018 she appraised 88 VVEV as a 3 year old. As a 4 year old she picked up her second leg with another GCh/BOB win, along with a RGCh. The 2020 show season was abbreviated, but she picked up a RGCh win in one of two shows we attended.
A late kidding in 2021 meant she missed the start of show season, but hit the show ring at just 3 weeks fresh, and was 2x1st and 1xRGCh. Princess didn't make the trip to the 2021 National show, but rejoined the show string for the Wisconsin State Fair, where she was 3rd place aged doe. The following weekend we took a small group to one last show, where Princess was GCH/BOB, finally earning her last leg, and topped off her amazing career with a Best Senior Doe in Show win.
​
Princess has worked hard for the last five years, and after struggling to get her bred, the decision was made to let her rest for 2022; she'll be missed on the show string, but the hope is that a well earned break will leave her ready to go for 2023!
​
Princess passed away unexpectedly in November of 2022, but is kept here as much of our show string consists of her daughters and granddaughters, and her grandson has seen considerable use this year.

Pepper has some of the strongest general appearance in the herd, with an extremely powerful front end and width to spare. Her attitude issues can cause her trouble in and out of the show ring, but when she feels like behaving, she is as competitive as anyone and often finds herself right behind herdmate Princess at the top of the class.
​
We were pleased when she appraised 89 VVVE as a 3 year old. It's been tough to find the right buck for her, but her 2019 daughter Harly is an exciting prospect.
​
A few difficult kiddings, and a bout of mastitis, sidelined Pepper in '20 and '21, but we are looking forward to her kicking off the '22 kidding season with kids sired by Neptune.

Eagle, the first kid ever born on the farm, certainly saved the best for last with Kiwi. One of our Taylor daughters, Kiwi has emerged as one of the stars of the herd, both in the show ring and the milk bucket. Her 15th place finish in a big Intermediate kid class at the 2018 National show was a highlight of the week.
​
As a first freshening two year old, she surprised with one of the most well attached udders in the herd, and we especially love her long and smooth fore udder. She earned her milk star with a modest but steady lactation.
​
Kiwi continues to impress as a three year old, and even though she remains a bit immature in her general appearance, her mammary system is one of our favorites. Often one of the smallest does in her class, she's always competitive, frequently placing top three in large classes.
​
Kiwi aborted (likely due to an impact) late into her pregnancy in 2022.

Diamond is a powerhouse in a small body. Princess's oldest daughter, Diamond has followed in her mothers hoof steps with strong, consistent lactations, a beautifully attached udder, and wonderfully balanced general appearance. She easily earned her milk star as a first freshener.
​
A second freshening has made Diamond even more competitive in the show ring, placing at or near the top of classes throughout the '21 show season. So far, she has given us four doe kids, three of which are still in the herd.
​
Diamond really hit her stride as a 4 year old, easily finishing her permanent championship in the first two shows of the year, even earning Best Udder in Show honors in the ring she finished in! Her 2022 son by Neptune has been retained, and will likely see a lot of use to incorporate this dam line into the rest of the herd this fall.

"Spider" is another Taylor daughter who has impressed us with her balance and strength of feet and legs. Most of the show ring time goes to her sisters, but her '21 doe kid sired by Neptune is a barn favorite, adding width and bone to Spider's long, tall frame.

We are looking forward to her '22 kids sired by an outside Majenli buck, the first time we have brought these genetics into the herd.
​
Spider returned to the show ring as a 4 year old, and has had a competitive show season, even placing ahead of her paternal sister Diamond a few times.

Fancy is everything we had hoped for from Liam and Diamond, adding height and length to Diamond's balance and dairy strength. We look forward to seeing Fancy freshen this spring, and are excited to see the first mammary system on one of our Liam daughters.

Fancy freshened with a beautifully attached mammary system, but will likely need another year for her body to catch up and mature. Her daughter by Matterhorn has been retained, and is a very exciting young doe.

Melody, full sister to Diamond, is the youngest of the 2020 kids, but don't tell her that! We had originally thought about holding Diamond over to breed to Matt when he arrived, but decided to use Neptune one more time before he left. So instead we will see the same genetic cross with Melody x Matt kids arriving in April '22.

Dove is another Liam daughter whose style we just love. She is more smoothly put together than her dam, Kiwi, without giving up the width and depth of this dam line.

Dove didn't freshen as a two year old, but we decided to give her one more try as a first freshening 3 year old, because we both just love watching this doe in the pasture.
